News & Updates

Good evening all, I hope your weekend is going well so far.

Just a quick reminder for our regular Sunday work session tomorrow.

We'll meet at 3pm at the FOLD nursery and, weather permitting, we can head over to the revegetation site at Lake St Clair to plant (and replace) seedlings.  If we get rained out, we can continue planting collected seeds at the nursery instead.

We had a great nursery work session last week, over 1000 pots planted with collected seeds! Thanks to all who came out :)

With many thanks and hope to see you tomorrow.

What a day at the nursery! Such a lovely group of passionate volunteers have work hard today preparing the trays and planting seeds we had previously collected. Lots has been accomplished today and we all went home feeling good about the day!

Good afternoon all,

Just a quick reminder for our regular Sunday work session tomorrow. We'll meet at 3pm at the FOLD nursery and have a couple options for work: we'll get started planting collected seed at the nursery, and if anyone is interested in a more active afternoon we can continue with beach clean-ups (working south from Stoneys to Back Beach).

Thanks very much and hope to see you there!

Good morning all, hope your long weekend is going well.

Thanks to everyone that came out last weekend, a little rain and wind couldn't stop our beach clean up (from the end of West Beach to Stoneys!). (pics attached)

Today we'll meet at 3pm at the nursery and then head over to the revegetation site at Lake Sinclair to continue planting (and replacing) seedlings.

Next Sunday we've got another fence building project scheduled, more on that during the week.

With many thanks and hope to see you today or next week!

Tumbs up to this unstoppable 10 year old who has been coming to volunteer for FOLD most Sundays! Good job, Rinaldo! Keep up the good work, boyo!

Today we picked up trash and mini plastic bits from the end of West Beach to Stoneys.

Good evening all,  I hope your week is going well.

We had some great work sessions in May, including helping Wombats SA at Cullen Reserve (thanks everyone that came out!), installing fencing to control vehicle damage in the dunes near Long Gully campground and re-vegetation in the same area (see pics below), as well as checking on ALL the Long Gully seedlings... they're doing great!

This Sunday, we'll meet at 3pm at the nursery as normal. If supplies arrive in time, we'll work on another vehicle fence project in the northern part of the park. Otherwise we'll head for a beach clean-up (after that big swell that came in this week!)

Special note on the Robe-to-Beachport walk idea. We are meeting this Saturday at Jill and John Davidsons house @ 2:30pm to discuss this project. Anyone who's interested in this, please let Jill or I know you're coming.

With many thanks and hope to see you this weekend!

Today we are back to Long Gully to complete our work there: we installed fencing to control vehicle damage in the dunes + did re-vegetation in the same area and checked on ALL the Long Gully seedlings... they're doing great! Another lil wombat came out to supervise the work ;)

Good afternoon all,

Thanks to everyone who came out last weekend and helped with Wombats SA in the Cullen Reserve. I went out a couple times during the week with them and they really appreciated everyone coming to help. Such a special piece of wild space right in the middle of our community.

Quick reminder we're meeting tomorrow @ 3pm at the FOLD Nursery. We'll head out to Long Gully to get started on some fencing projects, continue with maintenance on park infrastructure & continue replacing seedlings that didn't make it through the dry season. And, if there's anyone keen we can do some beach clean-up as well... inspired by Josie and Graeme's recent West Beach clean-up action!!

Hope to see you there!

With many thanks. Roland
