Today we split into two groups: one group did a great job fixing the fence on part of the coastal track and another group kept the work at the nursery going. Another fabulous day spent together caring for our conservation park and our plants! Thank you all!
caring for plants
We had a great crew at the nursery last Sunday: we cleaned up and planted a few pots of cushion bushes, dianella grass and olearia. We planted many trays of muntries and native rosemary from cuttings. We also trasplanted seedlings of tea trees and sheoaks.
Next Sunday we will continue with seedlings trays, repotting trees, and other projects at the nursery. Come by and meet us there at 3pm.
What a wonderful crowd of FOLD volunteers today! Lots was accomplished at the nursery with so many helping hands.
Weeding & planting seedlings at the nursery today!
Today we did some revegetion work in the dunes west of Long Gully campground and some maintenance items at the campground itself.
Today we are back to Long Gully to complete our work there: we installed fencing to control vehicle damage in the dunes + did re-vegetation in the same area and checked on ALL the Long Gully seedlings... they're doing great! Another lil wombat came out to supervise the work ;)
Today our volunteers headed to Long Gully Campground where they checked in on seedlings and replaced those that didn't survive summer. And look! A cute Wombat volunteer come out to help!
Today we checked plants at Stoneys and Long Gully campgrounds. We were also able to replace plants and guards that have been lost.
