News & Updates

Good evening all,

Just a quick reminder for our regular work session tomorrow. With all the rain this week it looks like we can continue revegetation planting for at least another week.

So, we'll either be heading to Lake St. Clair to plant out a couple trays of tree seedlings, or to a smaller reveg area in the south portion of Little Dip (and a little track and beach clean-up while we're there). Meet at the FOLD nursery at 3pm as usual, and head out together from there.

With many thanks.

Small crew today, but planted out a tray of Tea Trees and Sheoaks very efficiently! Ground still has quite a lot of moisture, so might be able to do one more planting before the end of the season... we certainly have the seedlings for it.

A quick reminder for our work session tomorrow. We're planning to head out to Lake St Clair to plant out Tea Tree and/or Sheoak seedlings (for what will likely be the last big planting session for this season's reveg efforts). We'll meet at the FOLD nursery at 3pm as usual, and head out together from there.

Next week, we're planning a beach clean-up north of Long Gully, where we haven't been for a while. Should be fun :)

Hope to see you tomorrow!

Last couple weekends we've been working on the coastal track section between Stony Rise and Evans Cave Rd. Two sections of track fence with steel cable were damaged (the posts were cut). We took the opportunity to replace and upgrade the damaged sections, and plant out reveg to support the adjacent foredune areas. Great crew today and got lots of work done.

Good evening all, just a quick reminder for our work session tomorrow.

We've made some good progress on beach and track cleanups, track fence repairs and reveg in the Matches beach area, and we should be able to finish up with the track fence repairs tomorrow. We'll meet up at 3pm at the FOLD nursery as usual, and then leave from there together.

Thanks to everyone who came out in the last couple weeks!

This week we continued on from last weeks work behind Matches beach. We got some foredune reveg in and finished the clean-up of the southern half of Matches. Great crew and great work!

Depending on interests and numbers in attendance; we've got reveg near the coastal track, track fence repairs and beach clean-ups to get busy with! We'll meet at the FOLD nursery at 3pm as usual, and head out from there together.

With many thanks and hope to see you tomorrow.

Great small crew out today, and welcome back Cath! We fixed up some dune protection posts and cable, and did a southern portion beach clean-up, lots of plastic on the beach at the moment but we made a good dent!

Good evening all,

Just a quick reminder for our work session tomorrow. There's some track fencing to fix up near the south end of Matches beach and we can do a beach & track cleanup at the same time. We'll meet at the FOLD nursery @ 3pm as usual, and head out together from there.

Thanks to everyone coming out in recent weeks, we've had some great planting sessions; a couple at Lake St. Clair (pictures from last week), along with several new reveg areas in the park.

With many thanks and hope to see you tomorrow!

Made some great progress with the dedicated crew today. Over a tray of tea tree seedlings planted, a couple sheoaks and some tidying up of prior years planting. Sun came out, no wind, beautiful.
