Today it was just three of us. It was a beautiful day to head down to Freshwater lake, looking magical with its shimmering waters, and beautiful greens against a gorgeous blue sky. With tools on had we trimmed the bushes along the path and fixed some posts. We also picked a lil bit of trash.
We are Robe volunteers, caring for our wild spaces.

News & Updates
Good evening all,
Thanks everyone that came out last week, we had a great discussion on several new projects including: signage, GIS, outreach and our web/social presence. We then headed for a nice walk & trash pick-up from the Stoney's campground to the Stoney's point car park.
This weekend, we'll meet at the FOLD / Robe Coast Care nursery and then head to Fresh Water Lake for a group walk, and a laundry list of todos:
- general cleanup
- replace (at least one) broken post and re-hang sign
- trail maintenance (pruning back vegetation where necessary and improving definition of trail where needed)
- inspection of old signs and the Dutch ladder board, with view to replace both
We'll meet at 3pm at the nursery, so we can figure out the quantity of tools, cars, etc. Bring a hat and some water (and any friends looking for a fun afternoon), hope to see you there!
With many thanks.
Roland
PS, keep an eye out for future emails on specific projects, such as GIS/mapping, community outreach, and nursery management in case you're interested in getting involved with those outside of the regular Sunday meetup.

Thanks Andrew and Libby for getting that set-up and starting to post content!
A huge THANK YOU to the 8 volunteers that showed up today for beach and track cleanup!
Today Libby finished the "Friends of Little Dip" sign and put it up with Roland and Rinaldo!
Good morning all, I hope you're enjoying this beautiful day.
Just a quick note about our weekly get together tomorrow for those planning to attend.
We're meeting at the nursery at 3pm.
Items on the agenda:
- Signmaking (new signs for the nursery)
- Progress on new FOLD social media and community outreach activity
- Nursery planning
- Drone progress and how GIS can support FOLD / Robe Coast Care efforts
- Stoney Rise walk & clean-up.
The first 4 items above won't take too long to get through, so for anyone who's interested and able, we can do a combined walk / clean up from the Stoney Rise campground to the Stoney rise point (and up to the Stoney Rise car park on the hill if time permits). This is fun and easy spot to access, and a heavily used part of the park. Bring a bottle of water and some conversation... trash bags will be provided.
Hope to see you there! With many thanks.
Roland
Great turnout of twelve volunteers for our first weekly session of Friends of Little Dip & Robe Coastcare! The group has decided to start meeting every Sunday at 3 starting from today. And what a day! Today Libby started working on a new sign for "Friends of Little Dip" while everyone did an incredible job cleaning up the nursery, caring for the seedlings and preparing things for a great new season.
Angela created these nice posters for Friends of Little Dip this week.
Rinaldo has been placing them around town, at the supermarket, gas station, library, at the Union Cafè, at the Cally and a few more locations.
Helen is taking care of having one included on the next council's newsletter.
Thank you all for working on this!
Good morning all,
I hope your new year is coming along very well so far, I know it's been a busy start to the year for everyone! Lots of activity in the park and in our precious coastal areas. Thanks to everyone who have been taking care of the nursery the last couple weeks, while I've been out of town.
Easing back into our weekly meetings today with a clean-up in the park campgrounds. Anyone who would like to join, we'll be meeting at the FOLD nursery at 3pm and will head out from there.
Thanks very much and hope to see you there!
Roland
